I know one
day my time will be through
And I know I’m gonna be with You.
I gonna join all the angels around Your throne
And we’ll be singin’
Holy, holy is the Lord
Worthy is Your name.
I will always be Yours.
I wanna ride
with You
On Your white horse with Your sword in hand
With Blazing eyes of fire
Lord, Son of Man, and Son of God
I wanna ride with You.
Sometimes I
wonder how long it will be
Until, ‘til eternity
I don’t need to know the answer
As long as I know
That I’ll be singin’
Holy, holy is the Lord
Worthy is Your name.
I will always be Yours.
Holy, holy is
the Lord. (You are holy)
Worthy is Your name. (You are worthy)
I will always be Yours.

| In my mind, this is a
really unique sort of worship song. I wrote it just as
a good friend of mine was dying of cancer. To be
honest, it's a song about dying. It's about taking
comfort in the salvation that Jesus says we have through
Him. In a way it's a song that says, "I'm not afraid
to die, because I trust that the Lord will take care of me.
Bring it on - I'll just worship all the more!" I guess
it just seems a little...different to sing about death and
yet at the same time celebrate it as an opportunity to
worship. It makes sense though.
Forward Motion was
not the first time this song was recorded. It was the
last song I did a demo of before starting Forward Motion.
The demo is very similar to the finished product. It
was also the best quality demo I had ever done. It was
the outcome of that demo that made me realize that I might
have what it takes to produce a full CD. I'm not
convinced I've "arrived" as a recording engineer and
producer, but I definitely have come a long way from where I
started. This song had turned out to be a favourite of
quite a few of my friends and family. |
